Mumbai has targeted again

Friends, Mumbai has been targeted again. Mumbai - A financial capital of India. The plan was to attack on the spinal code of Indian economy and to some extent, I must say, they have succeeded. But my question is why always terrorists are successful. Why do we have to reactive in our approach? Today Mumbai, Tomorrow it could be New Delhi, day after tomorrow it could be Bengaluru. My question is what we are doing, what our National leadership is doing. I feel time has come and we have to prepare ourselves mentally and physically to counter these coward acts of few mentally retarded people whom we call "terrorist". Frankly speaking there are lots to do but to start with we need to have following things which will sure help us:

1. Social identification number for every citizen of our country
2. Politician should raise them and they should do the politics on national issues instead of doing politics to create their vote bank and hatred among the country men.
3. There should be national policy so that all of us should serve our country for 2 to 5 years in defense.
4. Our "intelligence" should be strengthening at grass root level.

In my view we must not forget the sacrifice of our Real heroes. And to ensure that such incidence should not happen again, all of us (across country) must think about next step. Are we listening?

Customer Service in India

India is doing very well as a country, although the progress is slow but we can't ignore that from last couple of years its growth rate is very good and we are very hopeful for future, even if there is a global slow down.

Now a days Indians are evey where on Globe and it is a good sign. Some of the good things have happened in the past like Nuclear deal has been signed finally !!!, we created our "impact" on moon...it is good. Our industries specially service industries are booming. We,as an Indian, are doing well in services industries.

But when we looked into our internal system, we are more or less the same when it comes to customer service. For example - if you go to any public sector bank, more than a customer service, it is your personal relationship with Branch manager or Bank staff which matters otherwise you can't expect any customer service from them. you will be treated as though you are an unwanted person inside their premises. This problem is not only in Bank but everywhere. you go to any government office or public sector office you will feel the same kind of reception there. These days I have seen the sense of customer service is not matured in private sector as well. Very interesting example is few days back I went to one of the premier courier company in Bangalore, India. First there was nobody at Customer service desk. I waited for more than 15 minutes, people were seeing us from inside but they were not bothered about business. When I called them, one person has come and asked, to which place I would like to send the courier. I said, I need to send the courier in Bangalore only. THen he changed his face, as though I am at wrong place and with different tone he said, Sir we are very costly when it comes to send the courier locally. His Tone & pitch of the voice was such that he is not interested in taking the courier for local dispatch at all. But I said, I know that you are costly and still I am here. Would you like to take my consingment? He said do you have exact change ..I said sorry I don't have, then he said I have to give him exact change ...so ultimately I left his premises without my work done. And I was thinking what a difference we have in terms of customer service when we compare ourselves to Europe and America.

I brought this point because I feel this is a very serious issue. It is not that we can't improve ourselves but the reality is we don't want to do so.
Development does not means the increase in foregin reserve and increase in income of per person in India. Development means complete development of a society in terms of finance, social awareness and value system.

I was seeing some of the comments which has given against BHOOTNATH..some folks are critisizing you for acting in BHOOTNATH..Being a citizen of this country everyone has right to speak and since you are a great actor …so you have huge fan following so people can give you a suggestion ( good or bad) . But I am not happy with those comments..I feel this movie is very good movie..not only for kids but for elders…I don’t know what people expects …in the name of Mature subject and bla ..bla bla…. I think they don’t have knowledge that what movie is all about …Anyway I don’t want to waste your time on discussing on this topic …THe movie is simple superb ..apart from entertainment ..it has message as well …..that in current scenario where going US or abroad is passion and fashion both …young generation should think about their old parents as well.. A trip to a wonderland - North of Wales

Last week was a easter weekend and we decided to visit Stonehenge and North wales. We had four days of holidays and with four of my friends we plan our Bank holidays like this. The First day - the Friday we plan to visit Radha Krishna Temple in Coventry as 21st March 2008 was the Gaur poornima- The Birth day of Chatanya maha Prabhu. We celebrated the Birth day with the devotees and at the end we had "Holika Dahan" Function as well. It was a very good experience. For me it was like I am in India and participating in Holi festival. Although the climate was very cold but we had a great time.

Next day morning, we planned to start for Stonehenge around 9:30 a.m. GMT but because of cold weather, we somehow started around 12:30 p.m. GMT. We were five, Bharani - a Geo Scientist in UK firm, Madhu, Bala and Setu all are S/w engineer by profession and myself, and we planned to hire a car and visit the place by car only. So as I was saying we started our journey at 12:30 p.m. GMT on Saturday morning and we reached Stonehenge around 2:30 p.m. GMT. The day was very cold...we have seen snow falls while our way to StoneHenge. Sgtonehenge was awesome, this has been built 7000 years ago ...after this it has been rebuilt two more times. It is very difficult to tell why this has been built but this structure is good misture of Science and mystery. There is some link to this structure and movement of Heavenly bodies like Sun, Moon etc. but till now it is a big mystery for whole world. This site has been declared by World Heritage site by UNO...and it deserves !!...After seeing the structure lots of things were coming to mind...I was thinking about the people of ancient time...they were really intelligent...it was really tough to bring those heavy stones from 245 miles from the Mountains of Wales and build the structure. I will try get more details about this!!!

Next day we started for North of Wales,,,,our first destination was Barmouth which is basically coastal belt of North of Wales. While going to this place on the way we have seen natures wonder...a high mountains half covered with snows and half with greenary ....the cattles ..specially sheeps were on the green landscapes.....there was narrow guage railway line ...where you can see steam engine of 19th century with beautiful boggies.....actually this narrow line connect most of the part of wales....
We spent most of the time in capturing the moments in our camera...while on the way to Barmouth. We reached Bar mouth in the afternoon..the weather was very cold there...the city was small but very beautiful...we had fun on the beach ....the City was protected by mountain from one side where was at the other side there was an atlantic ocean. Overall the city was very small and very beautiful. We had lunch there in an Indian resturant "Alisha"...After that we started for the small city near Snowdonia mountain which is the highest peak of UK. Again on the way enjoyed the beauty of nature to full extent. We reached there in the evening around 5 p.m. GMT....After seeing the small city in the valley of Snowdonia mountain I was shunn....for a while...nature can be so beautiful I never imagined.....very beautiful house...Very old style of lamp post ( 19th century lamp post ) at road side, a beautiful river which is going through the middle of the small village. full of greenary ....and mountains are partly covered with snow ..partly with greenary...I think I don't have enough words to explain the beauty of mother nature...It was Heaven ..that's all I can say ....I wanted to stay there for some more time..unfortunately this was not possible ....I promised to myself that I will come here again ....We stayed there in the night and last day we started for a trip by mountain railway to see the peaks of sonwdonia mountains....This railway 112 years old....which again a honour for any one to travel by this railway to the peak of muntain...the journey through this train was really memorable...and adventurous....Thanks to British engineers who built this railway line 112 years ago...We went to the peaks of mountains ....and saw the white sheet which has been filled every where....it was really beautiful.

While coming back to Nottingham ..I was thinking....there are still some places on this planet which are very closed to mother nature and has not been destroyed by so called great Human beings.

Whenever I am remembering those moments ...I become speechless......and want to go back to same place.

A trip to London

This weekend I went to London with some of my friends. What a lovely city it is. I was just thinking that whether I am in London or in some Indian City. I must say I have seen positive energy flowing all around. People over there are fun loving. We visited London Eye- for first timer it is a good experience. Then Visited London bridge on London Eye cruise- the weather was cold and there was small amount of rain during afternoon, but we enjoyed a lot on the cruise. Golden Ben and westminister were other attractions of London.
To roam around in London tube was fun filled, I was thinking whether I am In Kolkata :) ...no no ...this is London Tube...I didn't differentiate between metro in Kolkata and London tube except the only one the london tube is having large network than metro of Kolkata.

Our last destination was Madame Tussauds....what a lovely place it is...we have met Angelina Jolie and other Hollywood stars, Stars from Bollywood and stars from politics and sports. Over all it was a wonderful experience. And at the last there was an spirit of London show which was also very good. There everyone is behaving as though they are meeting their favourite stars in some function....really a very nice place to visit. I would love to go again.

In the night we returned to Nottingham by National express Bus service. Overll trip to London was nice and memorable. Good bye London.

Nottingham - A lovely city of UK

These days I am in Nottingham, lovely city. I love the culture, professionalism of people here. I have seen the transparency in my cutomer's culture. They respect each and every one ( whoever he or she may be), there is no unnecessary clash as far as work is concern. Everyone is approachable and they will listen to you sincerely. All the information and approval process is quite mature. one can enjoy working here. The same thing is missing in our Indian IT sector. unnecessary politics, high expectation and most of the people are not able to handle these extreme condition and they suffer in their personal life. We need to learn from them and we should try to implement the "Best practice" of their culture in our work place as well.

Coming back to city ..its cold here ..but its lovely and beautiful spring out here...I am enjoying ....I am going to see London this weekend ..and will update you about my trip for sure..:) ...till then good bye.
